Cross-sectional Sample Preparation

Visual inspection is a starting point of any routine or root cause analysis. It gives an overall picture of the issue and helps to concentrate on specific parts/areas of a sample. If required; it can be complemented by X-ray inspection to “look inside” the sample. Once a part/sample is inspected, sample preparation begins.

Proper sample preparation is a crucial part of any analysis. This is particularly true for cross-sectioning or parallel lapping. Many professionals call it an art. Our cross-sectioning procedure is flawless and our line-up of grinders and polishers allows us to handle any volume of samples.
